The holy days God gave to Moses and Israel is first fulfilled in seven day of Jesus Christ’s redemption and return. Then the major and minor feasts and fast days are fulfilled in major events of the last one hundred years.

These are the feasts of the Lord, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons (Leviticus 23:4).

9th of Av Kadesh Barnea Rebellion Israeli Judgment Day

From Mt. Sinai to the Iraq Wars to Armageddon, this days has been fulfilled throughout the years.

And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it [the Promised Land]; for we are well able to overcome it. But the men that went up with him said, We are not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we (Numbers 13:30-31).

The first 9th of Av (July/August) is Israel’s rebellion at Kadesh Barnea. A year after God’s miraculous deliverance from Egypt, twelve spies are sent into Canaan to explore the land 40 days. The Hebrews had a choice to follow God’s plan and take the Promised Land or believe the evil report and rebel against God. Because of a lack of faith, ten spies rebel against God, discourage the people and they all wander in the wilderness forty years.

Observed as a fast day, it has become a day of God’s judgment against Israel and the world.
